But I have a very energetic GSP. I am cornfused on where I should start. With WHOA or with STEADY? I have heard Whoa means stop and freeze. Is steady me moving in to flush the bird. Kevin, remember we talked about the stop and stand, this is steady wich is later whoa, if you want. whoa is an abused word, put some duct tape over your mouth every time you work, teach her to stop and stand, if she points, then bumps, this is better with a pinch collar, but give her 6-8ft of cord, you stand still she bumps into pinch collar wich creates dis comfort which then creates a dog backing off of the chase, allow her to chase some, you can even run little bit with her. eventually she will be standing through the flush. There is an old saying, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink, .........give a young dog to much to drink they'll drown. You got time, PATIENCE, she's just a pup. You need to head northeast a couple hours and take your dog and watch, you will understand alot more, of what and how. Thanks Jonesy
