Lab barking

I need some advice. My lab is almost 3 yrs old and she has just taken up the habit of barking. She barks at cats and people out of the front window and through the fence in the back yard.She will even bark at loud noiseslike a car door or ahelicopterflying over.Up until a couple of months ago, she never barked at anything. It was like an overnight thing. We have to put her in her crate now when we are sleeping rather than letting her sleep in the den at night. She is not at all aggressive and has been used to people coming and going her whole life. She's not gun shy or shy at all and other then her barking is a great dog. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this or knows what i might could do. I cant stand a barking dog, especially a 96 lbs one in my living room. thanks

Have you tried a bark collar? They run from $60 to $80. Whatever you do don't buy the one from Sportdog with the vocal cord sensor. The first night my dog defeated it buy scratching it off her vocal cords then barking away. I had already modified it (fit) so I can't return it. That's $80 down the drain.
