Default >>PICS<< Bullwinkle water hazard

Maybe about a month ago, one of the ponds that Wayne1 and I train at had a yearling moose browsing in it -- that time, the moose was in a hurry to leave. But, today, it was a two year old, who was in NO HURRY to quit browsing and leave so that we could train our dogs.

A couple years ago, Wayne1 and I got charged by a nice young Bull at the same pond. He finally decided that he couldn't scare our rigs away, so he slowly ambled off into the woods. The big ol' Grandpa in this area where we train weighs an easy 1600 lbs.

That moose looks like he had a mean case of ticks last winter! Or is that just the sun shining off his wet coat?
