Hunters,
I am taking a trip to see the inlaws sometime in March. I am looking for some hunting opportunities in the Ft. Hood/Killeen area. My primary goal is to get my bird dogs out hunting but would also be interested in pigs. I think the quail season is closed in March so I guess I am asking if anyone knows of any preserves where a guy could hunt his dogs for a day or two. Any suggestions would be a great help.

Most land around the fort and Texas for that matter is privately owned. You may contact the guys on fort hood and get something going for a hog hunt. That's a year round 24/7 deal with the pigs. Not much of a bird hunter so I am not sure about that one.
