It's snowing down south!!

I can't believe it! It is really coming down heavy here...is there snow where ya'll are?
Last year we only had one small snow, and it was later in the year, so this is a big deal for us here.

Yeah! We were supposed to get a few flurries here in eastern, NC, but ended up with almost 3".
Winds Sunday night into Monday morning were at 30mph and the temperature was 18 F (wind chill was 4 F).

I went hunting Monday morning and actually saw 1 doe.

Yeah and i am not really happy about it. it could have waited until tommorrow night. i can't get to work and really was saving my vacation to take next week.
i guess you just have to live with what mother nature gives you.

soarkreb~ I could live without any pricipatation (sp??). I hate snow, rain, and cold weather above all things. I wish it was summer all year round..but that's just me.

Oh southern huntress i don't mind the snow just the timing. they shut down our facility tonight also . so that means my extra christmas check just covers last night and i have to take some leave tonight to get my full pay check.
I am still taking vacation monday and tuesday to hunt the xmas hunt in arkansas.

you know salary has it's advantages until the overtime comes in thats when i am glad to be hourly. it burns my wife that i can increase my check by alot!!! just working a little overtime. (she's salary)

Have no clue where you are from castman but in arkansas you don't get just snow. you get ice!!!

Ice is very different from just snow.

I lived in colorado springs colorado for almost three years so yeah i can drive in snow.
I also spent a little time in billings montana .

the worst part of it some folks can't drive in it ,they are the danger.

And plus i commute about 65 miles one way through I-30 through benton ark. they had 3 to 4 hour delays in the construction zone.

plus my bald tired unicycle has no heater!!!!!

We got 8 in of snow here in the Ouchita Mnts outside of Mena, Arkansas. No possible way to drive on hwy 375 yesterday cause it was nothing but a sheet of ice. Sure had zero desire to drop off one of those hairpin curves. Might be able to get to town today if the sun comes out to get some good eats for X-Mas dinner----I hope. Have a great X-Mas and New Year all!!!!!!
