Default VA Coyote

I know this deer.com, but coyotes are rare here in VA, especially in the flatlands of SE VA. Got him Wed while deer hunting.

that's awesome, what county do you live in?

I know they are around here where I live, I saw some pretty good evidence a few weeks ago, haven't broke the news to my fiancee though, she is scared of opossums as it is

I live in Surry County. My cousin farms this land and says he saw 2 one night circling a house cat out in the field. Hope to try the caller on the other over X-mas.

o2behunting...those look like those hitch hikers or burrs on the yote. My dad shot one in Warren County 2 weeks ago and took it down to the Sheriff's office. There is a $50.00 bounty on coyotes in Front Royal. You should check with your Sheriff Dep't or game warden to see if there is one down there. Some counties have a 75.00 bounty for em.

I was deer hunting when he came out in the field. 3 does took of running across the field and about 1 minute later he stepped out where the deer were standing. I shot him running away from me with a 20 guage slug. The "holes" are burrs from the field. There is no bounty in Surry, so I have him in the freezer until I decie to do something with him.

Nice yote. Your right its very rare to find 'em around here. Nice to see someone else from SE VA, I'm surprised there aren't more of you Surry guys on this site.
