Default Texas RUT times

Ive been hunting a little town call Roganville (Southeast Texas Pineywoods 15 mins south of Jasper) for the past 16 years and this has to be the earliest rut every - Dont know if has to do with the lunar phases or something in the water but the bucks are swollen and running hard - Cant even watch the does they are running em so hard - its 11/02/04 and they have been at if for for a good week now.

Figured this would be a good way for all us posters to inform each other on rutting times and if they change much from area to area or year to year. Let us know what you've been see'in

Jeux, I have hunted East Texas all of my hunting life. I have found that the East Tex rut usually gets hot about the last week of October, and runs into the first or second week of November. The rut on average, will probably be within one week of this time frame, one way or the other!
I was on our lease (between Chester and Woodville) during the second week of October, and I did not see any scrapes where I normally see them. I'm not going to get to hunt openning weekend, but I'll be there Monday afternoon! Good Luck!
