Got a call from 2 buddies one hunting in Hancock County and one hunting in Madison County. Both said they saw bucks chasing does this week (10-21-04). I witnessed an 8 pointer nosing a doe in a field yesterday. I believe the rutt may be in a little early this year. Usualy hits around the first week of November but I am starting to believe it is early.

Has anyone else seen this activity this week?

I hunt in Crawford and Pulaski counties, and I have seen some bucks nosing around does, but nothing indicating that the rut is starting. More wishful thinking and hoping on the bucks part.

The bucks in Lee county are still in bachelor groups. I had 6 bucks in a group come out Sunday morning and took these 2 8pts.
