Default florida hunting stores

I'm off on my honeymoon in one month and we have a free day in Miami. I'm wondering if anyone from Florida can give me some info on any good hunting stores near Miami. I see there is a Bass pro shops in Ft.Lauderdale. Is it far? any info would help....thanks! JDinAB

There are two pretty close to your vacation spot.

1. as you have said is Bass Pro. Depending on where in Miami you are it's about 20 miles or so. But it's straight up I-95 and get off at the Griffin Exit. Couldn't miss it if you wanted to. It's just a mile south of the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood international airport.

2. is Jet outdoors world located down in Dade county by the University of Miami and Cora Gables. They have some really great stuff but be warned some of it's a little pricey. Small store but packed with hunting/camping gear.

All the other sporting good stores around are basically just like everywhere else in the country, but slanted towards Florida water sports, and not as much hunting. Lots of fishing stuff though.

Hope it helps you.

The bass pro shop down here in Dania has alot of hunting stuff. If you want, the next time I go I'll take some photo's for you so you can see for your self. Tell me what your looking for and I snap a few for you and post them here.

I'll be turkey hunting tomorrow, then later I'll go to the "pro" for you and take some photo's. Should be up on the board by tomorrow night.

have to work this afternoon. I'll be at the pro tomorrow. Here's a bass pro link that shows what they have down here. A 1/4 of the store is devoted to hunting and camping. Boots, camo clothes, rain gear, dog training, duck, dove, geese, deer, archery, tree stands, bowes, shotguns, rifles, pistols. Has an indoor range for archery and guns.

Has the Isamarada fish factory, (resturant) inside. IGA fishing hall of fame 100 ft away, (in the same parking lot).Ft. Lauderdale's Bass Pro
