Default Osceola hunting

So, who's ready to hunt the prize of the "Slam", the Osceola?

I'm a transplant out of Colorado to southern Florida. Got lucky last year down here, plan on doing it agian. Scoutted all month to find them. Plan on slipping up to Zepherhills, Hillsborough, Green Swamp area later this month.

Last year went all the way to Osceola national WMA after working all day, had to drive all through the night. Beautiful country, saw birds but no shots.

Have trips planed to Alabama, Tenn., Georgia, Indiana, and maybe Texas.

Started working on a 3D ghillie suit for this year.

I'm headed to florida from NY. I'll be there late in the season and without any sort of guide, so it should be interesting. Nonetheless, the Osceola is the final leg in my quest for the Grand Slam, so I'm excited!

Got a buddy on another site about duck boat building and decoy carving. He's been known to say that Florida, or maybe "South Florida" is a waste land for decoy carving. I was beging to wonder if no body turkey hunted around here.

Everybody must be going to other places than I do. Like the board.
