Default FL Hunt Club Cost?

Generally hunt in SC but live in FL. What is the average going cost to join a hunt club in NE FL? Appreciate any and all responses and would like to hear about everyone's experiences with clubs. Thanks Gary

I live in north central fla.along the mouth of the suwannee river.our club is $650.00, $750.00 for a new mem.then comes down 1.
some are as high as $900.00 to $1,000.00 depends on the club.

the cheapest I know of is $500.00 a year.

State license plus $40.00 permit to hunt 400.000 acres. Eglin AFB. Good deer, turkey and small game. I'll be there in the morning. Its right accross the road from the house. Only decision to make is "where" in thousands of acres do I want to hunt today?

Sure they can join a club as a non-resident. You only have to pay for the out of state license, have hunter education course and the club dues.

Is the Hunter Ed course a club or state requirement? In eather event if you get some folks needing a class let me know. I need to start setting up classes before next season. Steve.

Hunter ed is required by the state for all hunters born before 1970 I beleive but check your hunting handbook to make sure of the exact year

I find hunting leases here in and around Jackson County FL (NW FL) to run from $500 to $1,000 but there are several state management areas and of course Eglin one can hunt. The problem is places to stay. Not many camp grounds around some of these areas and not many motels. Daily driving can be a hassle and costly.

My wife and I were FL hunter ed instructors for some time, but are retired now on our farm in Jackson County FL. I hunt northeren Michigan early (NOV 15-30) and NW FL in DEC-JAN. I also hunt a little on my farm, but mostly just feed the deer.

The primary rut in NW FL is normally the first full moon in Jan and the secondary 28 days later. This year the primary was in early JAN.

You can download a Fl hunting handbook from the Internet...get one and read it is the best preventive move.
