Default My vacation days at work (for VA Hunters)

Hey there....

I was just talking to my boss here at work to double check my vacation days/sick days/personal days on the books.
{I'm a direct salaried computer geek and don't punch a timeclock, and seem to always be chained to my desk.}

My boss just said, "I'd figured you be asking. You still have a bunch of time left to use before year end. Go call some of those people you know and go sit in a duck blind or go climb up a tree stand and get a deer". (yes, he actually said that)

Here's my IT Dept employee timecard:
SICK DAYS LEFT: 3 Days
VACATION LEFT: 4.5 Days
PERSONAL LEFT: 2.5 hours

VIRGINIA HUNTERS: WHO WANTS TO HOOK UP AND DO A HUNT?!?!

Hi Butch,

I'm off from the 23rd till Jan 4th. Maybe we can hook up and do a hunt sometime then. I know I have to stay home and watch my daughter on the 29th,30th, and 31st but maybe we can work something in. I am employed as a computer geek too and also have a very cool boss.

P.S. Did you feel the earthquake we had at 4 PM?

Hey there.... That's cool that you are off work too. Yeah, hopefully we can get together and do a hunt.

Yeah, I felt the tremors at 4:00PM. F-R-E-A-K-Y!!! [][&:] My whole building shook and we all went outside to see WTF was going on. (sounded like a 747 flying way too close, or a freight train rumbling).

This will sound like a bunch of bs but I was sitting in a deer stand at the time this happened. I was watching behind me and I noticed some small saplings shaking. I looked and could not see anything(squirrels, wind or myself) that would be causing them them to shake. Then on my drive home I heard about the quake and started thinking thats probably what was making those trees shake. Don't know for sure but I have hunted this particular stand several times over the last 4 years and have never seen anything like it.

I talked to someone else who was in a tree when it started and they said they could really feel it. It was a fairly strong quake for our area.

hey Butch.... I would be interested in spending some time in the woods. I am manage an irrigation and landscaping supply warehouse and I have a few days off. I get off early on Dec 19th and dont go back until after the 5th of Jan.

The only day I wont be able to go is xmas day. other than that I will be in the woods everyday. Let me know I am up for any type of hunting.

Butch....it sounds like you are getting enough names in the hat for a pretty nice group hunt!

Hey guys.... Thanks. I'm thinking of hitting up Cumberland State Forest again (Route 60 west of Powhatan). I still want to find that 8 pointer that I bumped off his bed in the briars/thickets!

How's a day next week sound for a hunting trip?
