Default North Carolina Deer Hunting???

My wife and I are planning to move a few miles south to NC in the next couple years. We are looking at possibly Catawba county. How is the deer hunting and what is available? I'd prefer to stay in the Piedmont region.

What do you mean by what is "avialable"? Deer hunting in the northern central portion of the state is pretty good or at least the location many people travel to to find a larger bodied deer. The coast has higher numbers but smaller bodied deer and the mountains have the lowest deer density in the state but still good numbers. Look up the county ordinances though, I think there are two counties that restrict firearms for hunting pretty heavily one being Macklenburg if I remember correctly. Since your looking into a county right next to them I would check local ordinances.

The coastal areas have plenty of deer.
