Default New rubs and a scrape

I have not seen one deer this season. I have seen four new rubs at/where old rubs were. Small scrapes? Yep.... don' t seem right. Little early here in Eastern, NC for rut signs I think.
Anybody else see early signs of rut?

Default RE: New rubs and a scrape

I found a scrape the opening week. About 2-3 foot diameter. I guess it could have been made by another hunter. Not sure. The lick branch above it looked as if it were by a deer. It stuck me as odd when I found it, but I must admit, I also got a little excited. I' m hunting in Franklin county.

up here in Chesterfield county ( Richmond VA area) I saw two nice scrapes yesterday and had seen a few small rubs a couple weeks ago. It' s starting, slowly but surely.
