Rut in KY and VA

I plan of hunting deer in KY and VA this year (firearms). Can anyone tell me the approximate dates of the rut in these states?

You can count on the first week of November in Va.

Try the 2nd week in Nov. Pre-rut hunting is excellent and so is the rut.

Coolbrze0 is about right, I have so much faith in the second week in NOV. My vacation this year and for the past 3 years has been scheduled from Nov. 10th to the 20th.

I am a bowhunter in central Virginia. The rut is just beginning to start here. I have been seeing some scrapes and rub-lines along fence rows the last few days. I had a young buck come in to some rattling and grunting this morning. Bucks were still running together last week whereas this week they are not. The rut ought to be in be full swing here in about 10-12 more days. Good luck.
