I am about to purchase my first gun soon and want to learn to hunt. Where is a good spot to learn small game near Jonesbor?

Hey N67, a fairly new law states that you must have permission from the landowner to hunt private land. So, that pretty much leaves land owned or leased by AG&F. You can go to www.agfc.com to see what land is available to the public. I would recommend also that you invest in a GPS unit before you wander too deep in to the woods. A cell phone is also good to take in case you do get lost or injured. If you have a buddy that is an experienced hunter and woodsman that would be willing to mentor you, would invaluable.
