Thanks Deernutz. I've heard a lot of different opinions on the subject but I wasn't sure. If I ever see him in person, I'll just have to let him walk. Would still love to see him though.

don't worry you'll get a season soon enough. my question is whats the other pair of eyes in your pic hooked to, the bear is on all 4's so the eyes are way to high to be that bear, prolly a cub in the background.
BTW coastal NC holds the world record for black bear with an 880# jelly belly killed there about 10 years ago.

I thought north carolina was the home of black bears. folks stop on the side of the blue ridge parkway to take pictures of those black beasts, hehe.
