Default 1st Bear

This is my first bear. Harvested in Lignum Va, 12/2/2011, Ruger Hawkeye 308 cal. Estimated weight 225 lbs.

Way to go Deane!! In over twenty years of hunting on Beer Can Hill that is only the second bear ever taken. The first one had to be drug a mile through the thickest stuff you ever saw. Congrats!!! Budman-

Congrats. Great pic also. I enjoy seeing a hunter with a smile ear to ear. See to many and they look mad or not proud of their harvest.

Never shot one...not sure I care to. If I did, it would be a big one. I've seen some over 400lbs over the years...scary big. Didn't see any this year yet.
