Default 2011 VA archery thread

Anyone else pumped about the regular archery opener on Saturday October 1?

With all this rain we have been getting in NoVA, I am wondering if it will affect deer movement. I would think with nearly two or three weeks of gloom and rain, a nice cool sunny day in early October will have a lot of deer movement.

I was planning to go out this weekend and hang another stand and do some longer range practicing, but it is supposed to rain all weekend again. I may go anyway.

I'm pumped!!! Waiting for the rain to stop so I can hang the last of my stands as well. I think this weather will get them up and moving on opening day/week.

Man I can't wait either! Taking my nephew out tomorrow for youth day. Should be fun but I can't wait to sit in a tree with my bow next Saturday!

I've been sitting over bucks twice during the early urban archery season. Sure hope they don't disappear on Saturday.

Notredame, did you mean can't wait?
