Default Caneyville, Kentucky

Just wondering if anyone has any info on hunting around caneyville in Kentucky. Me and a buddy (from Western PA) are thinking about leasing a farm for deer and turkey hunting. Trying to do as much homework as I can before we make any decisions. From what I hear, Grayson County is great for P & Y bucks. Any information would be extremely appreciated!! Thanks in advance

I don't know personally but it looks to be a zone 3 county out of for zones. 1 being the most populated with deer and 4 being the least. It is close to some counties that do have quite a few deer in them. You can do some research yourself at http://fw.ky.gov/ It will be more helpful than I am in this regard.

Huntingtherut as steve said in his post check out the link he gave you. There are good deer in that area, it is going to count on what the hunting pressure is around the area you are looking at. Also find out when was the last time the property hunting and try and get the names and numbers of who hunted it, they are going to be your best info. Me and my brother had a plase one time for a year to hunt it. It had corn fields, bean fields and 3 nice ponds. We found lot of old deer sign when we first scouted it. During the season we seen nothing but 2 1/2 year old deer. We found out that the people who had it before us had brought people in to hunt and had shot up all the good bucks. The bucks they did not shot had ran off due to being shot at so much. This had effected farms around us also. Good Hunting.
