Default S. GA Hunting Club Looking For Members

Hope this is the right area to post this.

Vickers Tower Hunting Club in Long County is looking for members. We are primarily a Dog Hunting Club but do have several members that still hunt as well and may also be interested in a small number of Turkey Season only members at a discounted fee. If your interested in Turkey only please visit the website and "contact us" and inquire about Turkey only.

We have decided to expand our memberships and acquire more land. We are looking for 10-12 new members. Dues are $800 for the 2011-2012 season and are due on May 1st, 2011. We are looking for both dog men and standers.

With your membership fee of $800 you will get a key to access all gates to the property. This access is not only for the hunting season but all year long. Your family can enjoy four wheeling, horseback riding, camping, etc. Full membership also includes Turkey season as well as small game.

Under your membership your spouse will get to hunt free as well as your children under the age of 16 as long as they have their hunters safety course certificate. We have a cleared out camp site that is semi primitive. You can park your camper here and we have a well and pump for running water. We also have a skinning rack for club use.

How far are you from Fort Stewart..wished I lived in GA..we don't get deals like that in Fl.If it wasn't for the dogs..I'd be seriously considering this lease.

I read the rule about the does..I didn't see any buck rules..What kind of buck can be taken?..and I presume only one buck can be taken.

I'm a Christian ethical hunter as well..
I sent an email..I'm interested..

Is there a separate area for stand hunters and dog hunters?

How many guys are you allowing to hunt this property?
How many acres is the property?

There are a bunch of us from FL. I live just south of Jacksonville. Mapquest only shows about 35 minutes from Fort Stewart.

Our goal is to hit 30 members for the 6000 acres. There are a lot of us that are Christians in the club. That is one reason the family part is important.

How do you combine the dog hunting with the climber hunters??looks like both would get in each others way?

Also, what are the rules on shooting bucks?
Thanks,
Chuck

Have you been contacted from the site yet?

Those that do some still hunting during regular gun season will tell us where they are sitting and we do our best to stay away from them in the mornings.

No sir..

I do appreciate you getting back with me..I have a relative that lives in that area.He has a 2000 acre tree farm and a road named after him..His last name is Reddish..lives in ludawishi...can't spell it..sorry. LOL

he said I can shoot the hogs..but not the deer..He' s a new relative..my wife's sister married Mr. Reddish's son..I've preached a while ago in Hinesville..I stayed at his place instead of a motel..

The day I got saved..I ran barefoot from Ledawisee to Hinesville..took about 2-3 hours maybe longer...I was messed up that day..I was stationed at Fort Stewart and had an all day talk with God..changed my life forever{ -; ..since then I've been living for the Lord.

What's the closest county that one of your members lives to Polk county..?? maybe we could car pool ..just a thought.I'm very easy to get along with,,,very flexable and agreeable..but I like looking over stuff real good before committing..

Hmmm let me call him and see whats up, make sure the "contact us" on the site are getting forewarded to him. We hunt 4 miles from Ludowici.

WOW...that is a bit of a hike barefoot! Sounds like a seriouse talk.

Were about 1/2 and 1/2. 1/2 of us live in the Jacksonville area and the other 1/2 are local Ludowici area residents.

I ran the entire time...I only had on a pair of denim shorts..I was the fastest runner at Fort Stewart in my company...and 2nd fastest in the entire battalion..One of the tree farmers from that area happened to be down here last Sat..again he comfirmed I could shoot hogs off his property..Last time I went there I preached in a small black church in Hinesville GA ..for the lady who was very instrumental on my salvation. What that long talk did for me...I grew up beleiving God was way out there near PLuto or something...I had no idea He could communicate inside of us..Once I found that out { Which was that day} that was like a nugget..I became a Christian that very day..The finish line for me that day was an old Methodist church..on a Sat. The minister led me to Christ formally and drove me to the Fort..I then turned my back on Satan..destroyed my rock albums and all the crap that went with that life style and made it my life to know God....that was in 1976. Now..I love Him more than anything.

Yes sir...if I lived there ..I'd jump on it..The money is no issue but the drive is not that hot..I'm 7 hours from that place.

When I got out of the army I ran for about 10 more years { 38 years old} mostly 6.2 milers..
