Default Dove Season

Well it' s almost time for the first hunting season of the year here in North Louisiana. Dove season is just around the corner here in North Louisiana (6 weeks and counting). I have been seeing a lot of Dove' s on our hunting club, so I guess I' ll be there on opening day with a case of shell' s to get my limit I hope everyone has a safe hunting season. It will probably will hot as usual so take plenty for water to drink and stay cool if you can.

That opening day of dove kind of gets everything going for the rest of the year. Your right about the liquids, cause you know it' s going to be hotter than blazes opening day. Usually, I hate them first couple of hours until the birds get to flying good. Last year was different, we had our limits by 4pm but that was an unusual field with a ton of doves and enough hunters to keep them flying.
Speaking of doves, How do you cook yours? I always wrap a biece of bacon around the breast and hold it with a toothpick. I also insert me a jalapena in there in the bacon. I grill mine until there good and crispy. mmmmmmmmmmgood.

hey Doveslayer, I am in chesterfield, VA. Just south of Richmond. Man, A good dove hunt is killing me. It has been years since I have got in on a good one. I love it. Just don' t have anywhere to go. I here of a couple of places that have paid hunts ($75-100) for a day. But that sure is expensive. I don' t belong to a hunt club. Sorta gave up on the club junk.

I am dying to get in a good dove hunt. Do you know any? Willing to pay a fee. I just want some shooting!!!

Hopeing to here from ya.

Anyone know of a good place that I can call to day hunt doves....I live in Lafayette, Louisiana but I would like a place to bring my seven year old and not have to worry about him being peppered by another hunter. It doesn' t have to be in Louisiana....it could be Katy or Winnie or somewhere like that

Thanks
