Hunting Southeast GA

Everyone,

I just got transferred to St. Marys, GA and I love to hunt. Having never hunted in this area and this type of terrain I was wondering if someone could help me out? I was wondering what type of snake boots everyone uses and should I even bother with a tick/chigger underlayer? Seems like around these parts it is quite thick down here. I plan on doing some scouting down here soon and would like some tips on hunting deer and hog down here. I plan on looking in Paulks Pasture because I dont have private land to hunt. Now i'm not looking for spots to hunt, I'm asking about scouting tips and what to look for. If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.
