Default Public Land Pork

I am planning on doing some hog hunting next year with my bow. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on public land in OK or TX with decent numbers of hogs. Any help appreciated.

Check out the Moore Plantation WMA. It is part of the National Forest in east Texas. The new Public Hunting permits are going to be $48 this year (Effective Sept. 1st). A buddy of mine and myself have had pretty good luck in that area. March is a really good month, as the hogs are on the move. It' s really big country, and the timber is super thick, so your going to have to cover some ground to find them. Good luck, and let me know if you need any more assistance.

From what ive heard from some people that come into the store, Blue River is starting to get some pigs on it. I havnt gone to it yet, but im planning on it. Ill let you know how it ends up, but if you get a chance to go before me, tell me how it goes. Its located near Tishomingo in S.E. Oklahoma.

some of the better public hunting areas in east texas are very difficult to move around on. when it rains it is murder, atv or bust. some of the public lands will not allow atvs unless you are disabled.i hunt the river bottoms near palestine. lots of big old nasty hogs.the gentleman got it right earlier, ther are 2 types of farms.the hunting is much much better in cooler weather. go to web site oversize outfitters. there is a pic of a hog i killed.
