Hey Pokey, you do any dove hunting in Va Beach? I discovered Bergies Dairy farm last year with a buddy. $7.00 for the day. Pretty good action last year.
I live right next to Pocahontas State Park. I' ve been there a couple of times during general firearms season & have yet to see a deer. Bow & muzzleloading may be better. They say there are deer in there, just not that many!
I have had better luck on the WMA' s in Amelia & Powhatan.
I agree with Broey1. I too hunt Amelia and Powhatan (and sometimes Chickahominy) and they are good. Pocahontas S.P.?!?!? Run.... Run far away.... [] You will have to contend with 900,000 hunters there and see maybe one deer!
