Default Found a big sink hole

My son and I went out today to pull my stands out and take a look around now that there are no leaves on the trees and the corn has been cut. we were walking the edge of the cornfield and looking for trails going back in the woods. My son was going in first to see if he could fine any rubs or deer before I did. He was doing a fine job. We came up on one trail that looked wore down I look at him and said this looks to be use pretty good he said go ahead I need to tie my boot. well 20 feet in there it was a 8foot wide by 20feet deep sink hole made by a under ground spring hell that spring looked to be 3 foot or more wide tunnel. I didn't play around it long but had to take a look in and sure enough a dead deer in it. most of it was rotted. I could make out the head and shoulder it was to dark it see but it looked like the antler and been sawed or chewed off. That is the worst hole I have ever come across. I would hate the be walking along and have the earth fall in. I will have to go back out and mark it now that I know it is there. I would hate to see someone fall in it. Maybe I will take some snow fence and fence it off to keep animals out off it. I will take my camera with us this time.

is that just pass the sign that says hunters park here?? IF so I know which one you are talking about.

My brother killed a nice doe on he left facing the hunters park here sign in the point of woods that comes up to it from the mudslide side he was only about 75 yards from the truck. Then about 15 minutes later two bucks, including that big 8 I was telling you about earlier this year can ferom the asphalt rd walking right down the road you were parked on and made it almost to the hard right corner and turned and went into the woods behind the house on the left side of the field. That makes like 4 or 5 bruisers they have seen on hoof down in that area the last week or so, so they are still hanging around. We also marked our sposts for our stands for next bow season on the field. Maybe we will get together after season goes out so you know where we are at in there and I can show you where the key is if you dont know so you can pull in and park.

Cool find. They have been finding them here from old coal mines. Guess it is becoming an issue because the mine sells off the land and some person builds a 250k house on top of a hole. Guess they had a house drop 10 feet not too long ago. From what I was told the insurance has to pay because it is from a mine collapse.

Justin How has your season been? Here is a pic of the area. If you know of this one how long has it been there?

Hey have your heard of anyone finding a 4 or 6 pointer back on Mr Bladen property around the left corner were the creek comes on to it. Would have had a rage broadhead in him from the left side to the front right shoulder.
