Default NOVA HUNT

Well I went out this afternoon in ffx, but didnt see any deer, but saw 15 TURKEYS! I was REALLY suprised because I didnt know there were any turkeys on the property,I never saw one in the season [:@]and was tempted to shoot one sinceI wasnt seeing any deer, but didnt. I had about 100 geese fly over me , but not one deer, man im getting kinda frusturated/disappointed that I havent harvested a deer yet, I havent even seen one in VA( while hunting) I almost got one in NC but it got spooke by my relative[&:], well got till march 28, hopefully I'll get one

I don't think turkey are in season. I could be wrong. What times of the day are you hunting? Are you hunting close to any food?

Food source is the key. I was out yesterday PM and also saw no deer. Trail camera's have deerpassing thru on different days, sometimesat 7:00 am, some timesat noon. At this point, it is comes downto time-in-the field.

A friend of mine has killed 3 does--i mean bucks that have already lost thier horns. each time he thought he was shooting the 'biggest" doe of the bunch. 2 were in ffx and 1 in loudoun.
