Missed a big 8 this morning!

He came out of nowhere, when i saw him he was already 20 yards in front of me. but it was pretty thick, so i only caught a glimpse of him at first, i had a small opening to shoot through and judged it about 25 yards, Ihad my range finder but didn't think i had time to range him. Should have ranged him!!! he as at 30! and i shot right under him....I grazed his underside cuz there was hair on the arrow. He didn't run, he jumped about 5 ft, stood there for 10 minutes and walked off inthe other direction. i tried grunting at him to get him to come my way, but he wasn't having it..

HE'LL be back!!

sorry to hear that but it wouldnt be fun if we killed the deer everytime we shoot. hopefully when he comes back he will bring a buddy

You're right...thanks guys, thats what makes bowhunting so great and addicting. I'll dream all day about how i could have done that differently, but i know he'll be back!!!

thats what they call it it hunting, instead of killing.....i think i'd rather bowhunt than gunhunt....you get more satisfaction when you get a deer.
