I was talking to some of my family in NC last night and they said that most the wild hogs would be in the smokey mountain region on the western edge of the state. They also said some farmers told them that their fields were suffering some hog damage along the south central part of the state.

Someone has transplanted some Russian blood line hogs on Deep River in the Randolph County area (Find on the NC map above). The hogs have already messed the deer hunting up in that area.

There are only a very few counties in western NC were the hogs have a season. The rest of the state they are considered feral hogs and have no season/bag limits. Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Jackson, Macon, and Swain counties to be exact. The other 94 counties are not regulated.
