south florida deer rut

hello everyone, been deer hunting for 4 years now mostly travel to alabama & georiga. this year have a chance to hunt here in south florida was wondering about when do the deer here in south florida actullay begin casing does. Thanks for any help. Jerry

here in north central Florida it starts in the area's i hunt around mid October

In south FL the rut starts really early like August.[&:] No Joke and the bucks are loosing or have already lost their velvet.

But thats only by what Ive heard Ive never hunted that far south.

Never did like to hunt deer in South FL.........Hogs & Turkey....When I lived in the Keys a long time ago, we would hire a launch to take us to Chokoloskee from Marathon Key to huntthe South Western 1/4 of the Monroe county in the Everglades....

In the Green Swamp it seems to me the rut is in the beginning of December..However, I've never seen the bucks chasing does in that WMA ..EVER ..but it 's this time of the year I've had the most success with the bleat call."The Can"
and the necks are huge.. PLUS..the deer kill really increases during Dec. at the Green Swamp.
