Default VA rabbit season almost over - PICS!!!

Thurs. we hunted a huge clearcut in Culpeper (Central VA) and had another phenomenal day of running. The dogs ran 11 and we shot 9 of them. It was a place that has more rabbit sign than I've ever seen in my life. You CANNOT take a step w/o stepping on rabbit turds or seeing cuttings EVERYWHERE!!! The tall cutting (vertical pic)was over 18" tall!

Everyone had a great time, 2 guysgot their 1st rabbits ever and said they can't wait until next season. The dogs ran well, it was slow going through all the thick trees and briars, I'd say they ran an upper med. speed at best due to the cover. Temps dropped into the 20s as the afternoon turned to evening and we were all feeling the cold. Here are some pics of our hunt and the crew.
