Default Oklahoma bear hunt

I heard the other day that Oklahoma is thinking about opening a Bear season. Any Okies ready for it?

Completely off-topic. But how is Oklamhoma in the South forum? Seems to be that it would be Mid-West. Just curious.

That is where it is listed in the (Regional Forum) on this site.

There are Bears in south east and east central OK. My brother stoped deer hunting south of Poteau because of too many Bear.

I would be interested in a bear hunt, but the department will probably start it off as a draw hunt forthe first couple of years is my guess. There a quite a few in the south eastern part of the state. I know some people that where conducting some research on them around that part of the state.

I am originally from Missouri and I live in Oklahoma because of Uncle Sam and we have bears back in MO so I guess it wouldn't so hard to believe that they are here. I think it would be alot of fun, I hope they do open a season.

All through SE Oklahoma...not a whole lot of them, but enough to warrant a season to control a few where they're beginning to infringe with people's space.
