I dont know about anyone else, but I havent seen any rut activity in the past 2 weeks. Everything seems to have just stopped, where is the rut??I am pretty sure its supposed to be happening...

I'M HUNTING IN UNION COUNTY KENTUCKY, OPENING WEEKEND OF GUN SEASON BUCKS WHERE CHASING DOES. TUESDAY OF THIS WEEK I SAW A 8 POINTER ABOUT 2 1/2 YEARS OLD CHASING A DOE. I BELIVE THAT THE BUCKS ARE LOCKED DOWN WITH THE DOES THEY KNOW ARE READY.
HOPEFULLY THIS COLD FRONT WILL GET THEM UP MORE ALSO.

We were in butler all season and saw nothing. The gun kill is off 30% from last year. I think EHD had a huge impact on this region. Several hunts we saw no deer where in teh past we would see several. We tried crops, food plots, woods. Nothing worked
I guess that EHD hit where I hunt pretty hard. I hunted all gun season and didnt see 1 buck...it was disapointing. Hopefully muzzleloader and the rest of bow season help me out...I am still looking for my first buck.

I used my buck tag on 11/3 and hunted at least 4 days a week during gun season and I saw numerous deer everytime I went except once. Bucks were chasing does up until the last weekend of guns season where I was in Owen Co. Waited to shoot my doe till the last day and she was one of 2 does that walked out BEHIND a nice 8point into my food plot.
Where is the Kentucky rut???
