Default Virginia Lifetime Licenses....

Got a question, the thought just crossed my mind as I was checking on the license fees on the F&G site.

The Va non resident lifetimefee is $505.

If I buy thatlicense, and if I ever decide to move BACK to Va, would that lifetime license still be in effect when I become a resident again?

Or would I lose out when my residency status changes?

I didn't see any details on that, anyone here know........?

This is on the application...

"This license is valid for the lifetime of the license holder even
if the license holder becomes a nonresident of the Commonwealth subsequent to the purchase of the license."

Looks to me that you can still use it even if you are no longer a Va resident.

So it must work in reverse, as well...

One would think?

It would make sense to just wait to move back then buy it, unless that never happens.

i believe once you have the lifetime license then it is good whether you live in or out of state.

I am glad someone else feels Sunday is a bad day for me to hunt and this is why I can't hunt on Sundays.

Keep in mind, that's only your hunting license. You'll still need to buy a big game license every year, and if you bow hunt or black powder hunt, you'll need those licenses too.
