if there is any people that hunt ocala how are yall going to hunt it this year. i have a double stand in the swamp that i see alot of deer in, but alot of thim are does, there is to many does in ocala but hopefully i can git a buck in there, im going to try in bow season to, but tell me all of you are going to do

no you cant shoot does but i do see alot of deer, i seen a 6point and 2 does yesterday and a 4pointacupol weeks ago

I gota friend from college who killled two 8pts a couple years ago in Ocala, keep hunting and be persistant.

There one week of doe season in ocala Ive killed couple 8s 1 12 in hopkins prairie

If there are Does in the area then Bucks will come, just keep persistent as Bryant1 have said and keep your fingers crossed. Good Luck!

I hunt in Ocala. Last year was the first year. Shot a basket racked 6pt with a bow in the pipline unit. I plan to hunt Delancy this year some and have seen a few bucks and some good sign. Was just up there last week scouting.

hunt north Ocala, north of s.r. 40. if you hunt south of s.r. 40 (pipeline dog hunt area) you're waste'n your time.

I hunted the Pipeline Unit just south of CR 314 and just to the west of 88 last year. Saw a few deer early in week, then kicked up a buck as we were walking out on the last day. Does anyone have any suggestions for hunting an area like Ocala as far as what to look for (besides the obvious signs)? Is stand hunting preferred to still hunting, putting on pushes, etc? I'm pretty much just starting out, and my buddy has been hunting a while, but mostly up north. Any advice would be appreciated.
