RE: Avon Park Air Force Range
Well, popabear,I have several buddies up here that would like to hunt it, but the land owner would like to keep just me there, I help him out from time to time keeping the fields bush-hogged, help keep the fence up and stuff like that, he knows that I will treat his land as if it were my own. Now on to the prices "DOUBLE WOWW!!", public land up here all you need is a wma stamp wich is in the sportsmans license, and unless it is a special quota hunt that is all you need, now alot of your hunting leases run from 200.00 and up, but that is a little different. Two of the clubs that I was in did things like food plots and stuff to keep the deer there. What really blows my mind is the fact that military has to pay, thats just un-American, I remember back when I was a Marine, I could go anywhere and hunt free of charge, it should still be that way today!.
