c7, i think ALOT of turkey hunters in our area put in for Citrus W.M.A.this is the first year open for turkeys and is COVERED with them. that's all i seen during deer season.

Thanks for the heads up Camo. I got a quota this year for Kicco{River Ranch}during black powder.and they were all around me down there as well. I ckecked kicco for my 1st - 4th places ot hunt.for turkey..They gave me number 5 Green Swamp. Oh well....
I didn't know about the citrus thing Camo. We may need to start posting more Florida hunting info here. I realy didn't know about the turkey quotas till I was in Kicco. A game warden told me to sign up for it when I told him about all of the turkeys I saw. I had 3 days to do it then.
Chris, the way I go during General Season and camp at Mutual Mine with the traveltrailerwhich is operated by the FL Forestry (which use to be $8 per day) is,
I go North on US41 through Brooksville and hang a left on 581 all the way to Mutual Mine on the left of 581. Get set up and then when scouting or hunting, when leaving Mutual Mine I hang a right on 581 and going South to 480 and hang a right going West to FR13 and hang a right heading North to FR16. All that area is super for hunting!

Thanks,,,I'm hoping we can keep up dates like this all year. There is alot of info in Florida about special sign up dates etc. I nearly missed the sign up for turkey.. The next sign up is from June 1st= 10th for general gun and archery deer hunts.
