Default Meat in the Freezer...Part II

Just got back from the West of the Blue Ridge ML opener. Been seeing tons of deer, but I'm looking for a bruiser or mature does (DMAP tags). My son was going to his stand at 1:00 and shot a doe when he was ready to climb up. The 6 point stepped into his other shooting lane to see what the commotion was then ducked back into the thicket. My son quickly reloaded and the 6 point stepped back out. MISTAKE!!! He was out of the stand with his limit by 1:15. This was his first/second blackpowder deer and exactly one month since his first bow kill. His deer hunting is starting to wear me out!

The smoker is on its first run now with 30 pounds of summer sausage and bologna.

Good question coach....Here's a quote from VGDIF website...

"Bag Limit Exceptions

[ul][*]Deer hunters, including those exempt from purchasing a license, on private land and authorized public lands may take more than the licesnse-year bag limit by using bonus deer permits or special permits (DCAP and DMAP). See Bonus Deer Permits.[*]DCAP and DMAP tags do not count against the daily or season bag limit. However, only two DCAP or DMAP tags may be used per deer hunter per day."[/ul]We have DMAP tags for the property.

I have never used DCAP or DMAP tags, so I have never read that in the regs and did not know that.
