I'm interested in bobcat calling in oklahoma this winter . Anyone tried this? Where should I start? Probable have to try public ground. NE Oklahoma is my closest point. Help[ me out.
If done right, you can have a lot of success calling predators in Oklahoma. I have never called in NE Oklahoma, mostly in West-Central, but it can't be all that different from where I call. We usually hit areas that have a creek or some type of draw that is heavy with cedars. Usually our best areas are grass fields with a creek running through the pasture with a lot of cedars. Remember, a cat will normally take 20-40 minutes to come in. They usually take their time sneaking into your calling. You have to be patient and be looking all the time. They can sneak in within 20 or 30 yards without you even knowing. Normally, once you call them in, you have them. Very rarely do they spook once you have them committed. Good luck!!
