Rockingham Countyis about 2 1/2 hrs away from DH56.
Good luck finding land to lease in Rockingham. I live in Stokes and hunt some in Rockingham. Hard to find any land there to lease. What we lease we got from Pine Hall brick, it's one big 1300acre sandpit. Lot of deer tho.

Thanks for the help. Tell me about land being hard to come by. The land I was hunting on is now being timbered.

To answer your question:
1.
Rockingham County is not in the sandhills of North Carolina. It is north of Greensboro and borders Virgina.
2. I enjoy hunting.
3. I can get to many places in Rockingham County quicker than I can get to several places I hunt in VA.
4. North Carolina bow season opens up about 3weeks earlier than Virginia's season.
5. Did I mention I enjoy hunting?

VAhuntr, what part of VA are you in? I know that one club I'm in will be taking new members and they have land in S. Maryland (mid sept bow season).

rick64,
I appreciate the info but I'm in the southern part of the state, right on the North Carolina border.
