Default Central VA Bow Shops

Can anyone recommend a quality bow shop/tech in Central VA. I'm from Charlottesville and am struggling to find someone that I trust to work on my bow.

Thanks.

I've heard pretty good things about the fellows at Gander Mtn. also. This is prob. too far north of you, but either Bobby at B&B Archery in Manassas REALLY know what they're talking about.

You might also want to give Neal at Arrows By Design a call.. He is located in the Fredericksburg area. He is not only a top notch bow mechanic he is an instructor. He will not try to sell you things you dont need or try to sell you on the newest gear on the market just because that is what everyone else is buying... if something fits your needs he will point you to the best options... he makes custom strings and cables as well.... not to mention he is a FFL dealer and has great deals on BP items....

Tell him Justin Reid,VP of Potomac Hunt club sent you.......

his email is: arrowsbydesign@earthlink.net

Bill at Richmond Archery has been very helpful. He is a very knowledgeable Mathews dealer. He tightened up my '05 Outback. I think he shoots the bow that you shoot. I don't have the number but call 411.. Good luck

JUST KEEP IN MIND THAT THE SMALLER SHOPS ARE THE ONES TRYING TO MAKE THE KILLIN. THE GUYS AT THE BIGGER SHOPS DONT WORK OF A PERCENTAGE AND THEY GET PAID BETTER THEREFORE YOU USUALLY GET A BETTER MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE PERSON TO DEAL WITH. THIS IS NOT ALWAYS THE CASE BUT USUALLY. THERE ARE A FEW SMALLER SHOPS AROUND THE ARE THAT ARE OK.
