Default When do the does drop the fawns in Texas?

I'm in north central texas in young county and I went to my lease the weekend. I didn't see any fawns or does that looked like they were going to have one. Would they have already of dropped?

My brother in law raises whitetails in Van Zandt county. His does started dropping fawns last week. He had 5 pregnant does and 2 of them have birthed 3 to go. So its right about now.

Default RE: When do the does drop the fawns in Texas?

I usually start seeing them at the end of May into about the first week or 10 days of June. I used to see a lot of them cutting wheat. Does like to fawn in the tallest grass they can find, which is more times than not somebody's wheat field. The fawn can lay down in a wheat field, and unless a predator walks over the top of them, they will never see them.
