Louisiana gets Tags for doe

Well I did not think they would ever actually do it but it appears we have droped the doe days and got tags. Still a 6 deer limit but now it is 3 bucks and 3 doe with tags for each. No more doe days to keep up with. Personally I think it is a good idea. What do the rest of you think?

I think it's a great idea. Like you say, now you don't have to keep up with doe days. Also if I just want meat I can take a doe whenever rather than relying on specific days to try and get one. My only problem is a slight inconvenience in that I have to go to Walmart or some other place to get the tags, I have a lifetime hunting license.

I think there is a law that states a resident of the south has to be in walmart atleast bi-weekly anyway. Nice to see someone from close by. Im in Ruston

I earned my official graduation brick there back in 90. I actually work in Monroe and live in Ruston. And usually end up hunting in Arkansas these days

hey guys.i was woundering why yalls season is different from ours. our season is set for the next three years and no tags. i wish we were getting tags it is a GREAT idea!!!!! i'm from many, louisiana about 45 minutes south of natchitoches.

If you notice in the book your seasons are set but not the doe days.
Unless your hunting in one of the parishes where they are doing a special program then you are getting tags as well.
You can check out the department of wildlife and fisheries to be sure but you most likely have them.

Here is the link for the new regulations. There are very few parishes that have specified doe days now. If you are hunting in Natchitoches parish you'll be just like us.
