Anyone in Northern Ala up for a hunt?

I'm visiting my daughter again come April 1, and was wonderin' if there's anyone who'd like to hook up for a hunt or 2 ? I get the 3-day lic,and will try Bankhead again this year...my friend can't make it this time, so I'm soloing it.... Peace

Last year we headed out 278 towards Double Springs, we took different roads off 278, but being the 1st trip, we stuck to the obvious park entrances/forest roads to hunt... rained alot...rained ALOT.... my daughters' in Hanceville...

I've never hunted that side. I stay mainly in the WMA.And the North side of the Nat'l Forest.


Did you hear any down that way? I got 3 out there and should have gotten another.

the rain made it miserable huntin'... heard none, saw fresh tracks in the loggin' roads, but alas...no birds... we may have been a tad late..it was after April 4th....
looks like the trip may not happen... the girl has 2 jobs in California & Oregon/Wash..she'll be out there for a month...she's an aero-photographer... her jobs take her all over the US.... so this Gobbler season may be restricted to WV only....[:-]
