Default Blood tracking

After a long early morning duck hunting, an afternoon of quail hunting, the phone rang!

A young man just back from Iraq, shot and wounded his first deer and was quite upset. Even though the dog was tired from her long day, she was ready to go! After three hours of tracking through some of the toughest underbrush, our DK came up with this......

Fine, one of our better DK's had 4 successful tracks this season for some unlucky hunters.

sounds great. congrats. to the hunter , you , and you pup.BTY;good looking dog you got there.

I have been training my pup this year.had to get a new one. Boots, my blood dog passed this past summer (he was 13)booger is 1/2 Jack Russel nad 1/2 miniture snozzer.

this is his first fine of the year.

another one he found for me.

he seems to really want to please me,he is just a little to fast yet.he wants to run to hard and runns past the blood some times and has to come back and start again. of course he is only getting started,he found 4 this year.I don't guess that to bad for his first year.

Thanks TC.

Seems you are on the right track with your new aquisition too!

We have 5 DK's in our kennel....The young ones are coming along nicely as well. We just lost our eldest male who was a certified Narcotics dog as well as a heck of a hunting companion. HE was featured on Animal Planets Breed all about it.

This is the ole police k9

This if the female that found the last few deer for us on point on Quail!

and a few of her pups coming along...
