hwy 71 La Grange, Columbus Hunters

I have been Hunting A small tract of land in the La Grange, fayettville area now for 6 years, havent seen alot of deer in my area, not to mention Big bucks...most have been spikes and scrawny pencil racked bucks. This season, I have seen more bucks than does, nice basket racked young bucks with a lot of future potential...this past weekend I missed a shot on a nice legal 8 pointer...massive rack...later that night, just before dusk, I saw a trophy class 12 pointer...yes, I said a twelve pointer!

Has anyone besides me living or hunting in this area noticed the difference in the bucks since they went with the Antler restrictions 4 seasons ago?

I have alot of family in Lee Cty. My uncle tells me he's
seen a great improvement in the deer herd. From what he
says they're taking management of all types of game much
more seriously now. I hope to get a chance to hunt there
sometime.

I know I have...They need some management in that area, very few of everything...I have yet to see a Rabbitturkey or quail...not even hogs, and you know they are everywhere. Lot of squirrels and armadillos though
