Default NC bear hunt

Anyone got a bear hunt planned in NC for this season? Got a few questions I'd like to ask...

What's the preferred hunting method there? Running dogs, baiting, hunting over trails leading to food/bedding?

there's a good chance i will be going to western nc for a hunt hopefully. bears are supposedly pretty common in the area we'll be in.

I dont want to invite myself on a trip or anything, but would anybody be willing to show me the ropes???I am taking the entire Muzzle Loader season off (from Oct 8-16) and if I could squeeze a bear hunt in there, I would be psyched. I am in the Camp Lejeune area, and would be willing to make a drive, it is is feasible for a day trip. Can you even take a bear during those times??
