Default Texas elk hunters?

Sounds funny doesn't it. I was wondering who lives in Texas and travels to hunt elk. Where do you go and how do you hunt them. I travel to SW Colorado and bow hunt elk.

It seems elk could be introduced to a lot of states they are not found in the wild. About 10 miles from my home a man has a pen of about 160 acres with a lot of different animals from blackbuck to elk in it. They seem to tolerate the heat and humidity and are in very good physical health. There are 3 older elk bulls in there that most any elk hunter would love to have. One 8x8 and two 7x7's with a lot of mass.

Tuff, why not. I can only think of one or two real excuses why I will miss an elk hunt. I may be a solo hunter this year, but I am still planning on going.

I amsure you guys know that Elk are starting to show up in West Texas to significant numbers. The trans Pcos region is starting to see them quite a bit.
