3of my best buds and I have been elk hunting the same area in idaho for the past 2yrs and are returning again this sept. 1 of the 4 of us has backed out for job related problems. The hunt will be self guided and only cost $1000 per personplus tags. We are driving out and split the gas andsuburban rental 4 ways. Tags and license runs about $500. This is by far the cheapest way to get an opputunity to harvest a 330+ class bull. We have seen abull in the area last year that would push 380+. We camp in a huge 17.5X17.5 wall tent. We would be willing to help pack out your elk for the same help in return. We would only be interested in the right person to go with us, being we would be hunting right along side each other in the remote wilderness. We are not an outfitter just some good old tar heels trying to hunt the most majestic animal on God's earth. We will be leaving Sept 10 and returning Sept 24. That will allow for 10 days of hunting, which is twice as long as most guided huntsand itincreases your chances of getting a Bull. There in not much time left so if you are interested we need to make plans soon. This is an awsome opportunity for the right person. Elk country is no joke and only the physically able need to respond. I have benn training for 6 weeks now.Who ever might go has a lot of things to do to get ready. Reply to this post only if seriously interested. We will be leaving from Greensboro, NC. If interested post reply or email me at
