.17hmr and yotes

i am thinkin on buying a .17 and i was wonderin if it would take a yote down?

A .17 can take down a coyote with the right shot placement and maybe more than a couple of shots. But if youre going to be using it for coyotes id go for something a little bigger. You should look into maybe getting a 223 Rem or 22-250. Look at the NEF single shots on walmart.com. They wouldnt be that much more expensive.

Well said Aborquez........the NEF Sportser Model 17HMR is a great rifle for the money......and it will drop a coyote in a pile. Shot placement is important as with shooting anything. We've all heard of theWhitetail that runs forever after being shot by some of the best guns out there.....Good ....clean shot placement will do it most of the time but nothing is certain except death and taxes......................
